Maintenance Item Addressed - Front Headlight Lens Fogging

Driver and passenger side headlight lenses are fogged over cutting at least 35% light pass through resulting poor night driving visibility.

Root Causes:

  • Plastic headlight lens exposed to environment without adequate protection

  • Plastic dries out over time causing cracking and discoloration

Corrective Action:

  • Replace both driver and passenger side headlight lens housing new

Preventative Actions:

  • Annual headlight lens sealant application post installation of new housing

  • GX470 stored in climate controlled garage
